AIDS: Book burning?
That's 25 years in sorry-GULAG for the human!
- Reply
Anonymous1: @AIDS: It's a book critical of Trump.

The burner has therefore been rewarded 1000 Soviets.
- Reply
Anonymous2: @AIDS: the book contained information critical of our lord and savior Stalin.

guodzilla: @Soulvei: Since you're Bradbury'ing now, I challenge you to do a Martian Chronicles fluffy!

Soulvei: @AIDS: I'm so severely against throwing away books let alone burning them. One time I nearly threw away a book but I ended up just returning it to B&N for store credit ... If you have tha cajonés it was "Username: Evie" by Joe Sugg (some YouTuber I'd never heard of). It was fucking terrible and I've read quite a few subpar books. I dare you to read it. It would be a good way to measure how autistic someone is =P

dust_collector: That's going too far. Someone set that human on fire and break her fingers for good measure. God-damn Pol Pot-loving plebs.

SluggiesNotHuggies: @Anonymous: I think you meant Lennin. All commies, especially those in the former Soviet Union, despised Stalin because of all the deaths and misery caused by a demented paranoia of his that would have made Richard Nixon seem rational. Soon after Stalin's death, the Soviets quickly tore down everything that was associated with him.

guodzilla: @RevMe: That's not "Martian Chronicles," but it is Bradbury, so maybe...

guodzilla: @Soulvei: Anything by Tim LaHaye. *shudder* A bunch of ReligioPsychobabble Creationist BS.

Soulvei: @guodzilla: I don't even consider those books as viable literature. I actually did read the first few books in the Left Behind series. Sadly, LaHaye and Jenkins aren't too terrible of writers, they just had to tackle one of the stupidest subjects ever. I wanted to read an apocalypse book but they lost me when the idiot daughter and Kirk Cameron hooked up and made a baby. A baby they knew was doomed. How fucking selfish.

Try "The Apocalypse Tryptic". It's a three book anthology series that is put together really well. The first book, "The End Is Nigh" is about events precluding the apocalypse, the second is about the actual apocalypse, and the third is about what happens after the apocalypse. I love anthologies so expertly edited ♡

Micron: @Anonymous: They still have his body. Preserved in kosmolin, just like Lenin. They just hid it in a place where the public can't see it.
