January 13, 2017; 18:32 - Reply Soulvei: @AIDS: This is kind of my response to that crazy horse shit Janther posted about wanting to abuse fluffies IRL. This is the kind of relationship I think we would see waaaaay more often than people killing or torturing RL incarnations of fluffies. And a lot of what you in particular post is decently realistic in the sense of how fluffies would interact with each other and their owners. They can't ALL be asshole smarty friends. The world just doesn't work like that. I mean, like, if people can love and befriend terrifying spiders I can believe that just about *anything* can be loved. Yick... spiders D: I have a friend who cuddles her tarantula while she watches TV. I don't like spiders for primal survivalist reasons o.o I kill spiders reflexively and so do a lot of other people. I feel like there would be people like that if fluffies existed and people who would be like "no! It deserves life! Let me at least take it outside/to a shelter!" Sorry lol January 13, 2017; 18:40 - Reply RevMe: @Soulvei: Yeah — exactly; I figure that this is 99% of fluffies/fluffy owners in the "real world"... just that "everything is beautiful and nothing hurt" usually doesn't make for good stories. January 13, 2017; 18:41 - Reply Micron: @Soulvei: I have a tarantula. I used to be able to hold it. Then it hit spider-puberty and now it will try to kill anything that moves. I do have a breeding population of smaller spiders under a shelf, though, and they seem nice enough. January 13, 2017; 19:45 - Reply Soulvei: @Micron: I definitely understand that spiders are just certain people's thing. A friend of mine was a small-time spider breeder. They can be really really pretty. He also had a baby rattler -_-; That guys animal collection scared the shit out of me lol January 13, 2017; 19:49 - Reply Soulvei: @RevMe: I know what you mean. I wouldn't be here if I didn't like the catharsis of abusing a fictional animal. I just feel like, if they were a reality they would be a great deal more boring as reality is wont to be. January 14, 2017; 08:31 - Reply AIDS: @Soulvei: Pretty much, yeah. If fluffies were inherently abhorrent they'd be extinct. But the majority of fluffies, presumably are nice. Even ferals. Ferals, however are so plentiful that they're pests and thus often are put down out of necessity rather than malice. It's like rabbits on the island of Gotland in Sweden. They're not tortured to death, they're just shot. Pet rabbits are not tormented, despite being just as dumb as the wild ones. And I don't get off on torturing real animals, except ticks. Fuck ticks. Nor do I find any pleasure to torment imaginary animals/biotoys. Imaginary ones, however can suffer for the needs of the narrative. It's rarely a purpose unto itself, at least for me. And all I have is my Chamber of Horrors...*sigh* January 14, 2017; 10:08 - Reply Soulvei: @AIDS: As I've said before I really like your approach to fluffies. They feel more natural. And you use their stupidity and their cartoony qualities like a Tom and Jerry cartoon. It's actually a lot like SqueakyFriends approach. She's well liked so that's a big compliment ♡ January 14, 2017; 10:09 - Reply Soulvei: @guodzilla: First world problems, amirite? January 14, 2017; 11:00 - Reply Micron: @AIDS: I raise ticks.
