FrederickFluffyktonos: Has any fluffy actually BEEN a piece of shit. That is, been proud of being a poopie fluffy? They're accused of it so often you have to wonder.

MostlyHereToLurk: What is that fluffy sitting on? A martini glass or something?

FluffiesAreFood: @MostlyHereToLurk: Looks like a cake tray.

This gives me a serving idea.

Lady_kill_hunter: Why brown is a bad color? I am brown and my grandmother loves me, and allowed me to live in the basement.

Disintegral: Eh. Colours don't make a difference once you shave it, void its bowels, and dip it in egg and breadcrumbs.

@Lady_kill_hunter: It's a common fluffy trope. In a lot of headcanons, the most popular fluffies have bright, cartoony colours, so drab ones tend to be considered undesirable. And there's also a thing where other fluffies will associate the colour brown with shit, so they'll think brown fluffies are disgusting and call them "poopie fluffies".

Disintegral: Also, once again, nice art.

Great art again, i like how the little fucker is told his place but like so often that little turd doesn' want to accpet it.

ChojinPatriarch: @Disintegral: This is the going explanation, all right. Remember the green-text story of the mare so stupid she thought her brown foal actually WAS crap, despite all attempts to explain otherwise?

Same reason orange-yellow (ie piss-colored) and gray-ish green (pea-soup vomit ala 'The Exorcist') are also dubbed 'poopie' despite not being brown.

RQ: Psychological torture. I love it so.

Disintegral: @Guzziman: Really? But it's alive.

Disintegral: @ChojinPatriarch: The piss- and vomit-toned ones seem to depend more on the author though. Sometimes it's only brown fluffies that are poopies.

There's even more variation in what's considered a bad fluffy colour, too. Sometimes "bad colours" is the same as saying "poopie fluffy", but some authors will includes washed-out or pastel versions of otherwise good colours too.

ChojinPatriarch: @OnceUponAFluffy: https://www.fluffybooru.org/post/view/88 is a particulary dumb early example. Not the one I was looking for though.

It's one of those green-text images that tends to show up in threads. Shorter story, Owner talks about how dumb his fluffy is, then how she had foals, but puts one in the litterbox because she thought it was shit. She even persists after he tries to make her nurse, thinking he's rubbing a turd against her nipples... He eventually has to hand-feed it.
Seriously, if anyone finds it, lets us all know, I want to favourite it myself.

ChojinPatriarch: @Disintegral: And then you have the mares trained to sort by color by fluffy breeders or mills (or sometimes by Hasbio itself, encoded at the genetic level), usually sorting undesirable colors from hot-selling ones like pink or white. Often touted as one of the reasons ferals do it...

Disintegral: @ChojinPatriarch: Yeah, jury's out (i.e. let your headcanon decide) on whether mares actually show colour favouritism based on genetic programming, or just because of lessons taught by breeders and mills. I lean more towards the nurture explanation.

HerdKing: @Disintegral: agree. in my headcannon it is almost always encouraged, so it is common, but its not genetic
